It's been too long!!

Well, far too much time has passed since I last posted some pix, here they are! Liam and Ciara are continuing to amaze us with their clever minds, gorgeous individual ways and increasing vocabulary.. In the following pix you'll see Liam at daycare enjoying his morning tea (a wonder he's eating, doesn't happen well at home!) it was pyjama day today! And Ciara at home, being her cheeky, inquisitive self... enjoy! We're all very well, hope you are too! Big love, Ave xoo

Ciara is now 11 months old...

Already 11 months has flown by since our little girl joined our family... Ciara and Liam are becoming real playmates now, as you'll see in some recent pix! It's amazing how Ciara just wants to be everywhere Liam is and she'll follow him and play with him, normally chasing him around, crawling as fast as she can... as their little laughs fill the air.... :)

A new year and a time to reflect...

So, I just can't believe we are in the year 2010! It sounds so forward in the future, kinda like we should be getting around in little whizzy spaceships or something! I guess cars just have to do for a while...

Our life as a family of 4 is getting better every day... now that little Ciara has found her feet (well, not literally, not walking yet, presently the commando crawl, but she sometimes finds herself in a crawling position on all fours!) and Liam just surprises us all the time with his ever increasing vocabulary in English and Swedish.. we find ourselves in a reflective moment in time... There's a sweet sense of harmony I feel now as I see my 2 children playing and laughing toegether.

I think back over the last 3 and a half years and, wow, so much has happened for Marcus and I since we arrived back in Australia... and to think that this year in October, we will have been together for 10 whole years!!! Now that's gone fast... I feel it was only a few years ago, that we met for the first time in Hyde Park Inn, in Bayswater, London.

We travelled half way around the world for each other for the first 4 years of our relationship... between Sweden and Australia... Marcus lived in Australia for 9 months.... I lived in Sweden for 2 and a half years... Now Marcus has lived in Australia again, but this time for 3 years! Our life in Australia now includes our 2.3 year old son and 9 month old daughter... I can't believe how beautiful they are and how lucky we are to call them our children...xoxo

Here are some snaps to show you why..... have a great 2010...

Our babes are getting too big too fast!

As you can see, Liam and Ciara are growing up so fast. Recently, Liam was 2 and Ciara is now 6 and a half months old! We also celebrated them both, for Liam's b'day and Ciara's Christening day we had a family get together....which is no small party, when it comes to my huge family! Marcus's mum (Farmor) was in Sydney with us for 2 weeks and we were lucky to have her at the celebration too... here are some pics taken over the last few weeks...xoxo

We're doing well!

5th July 09....Oooooops! Sorry I'm sideways here! Mum couldn't change it!

Ciara is 3 months old...

Well the Elwings are starting to adjust to a life as a family of 4... Ciara is much happier these days and can sleep for 2 hours or more at a time in the day and longer blocks at night (although i still have to wake up when she wants to eat!) which is fantastic for her (and for us!).

Liam is growing in so many ways too... he really is observant, watching and listening to so much now and taking it in to his own gestures, language and play. It's beautiful to watch but I'm realising my baby boy is really growing up! Well, now I understand why my mum always wished she could shrink me back to my baby years...

So that's why.... poor baby

Hello... well, we've realised that the cause of Ciara's difficulty to sleep and settle is due to her having reflux. :( Our poor lil bubba.. no wonder she's had a hard time to settle since she was born! We've also found it really hard to deal with too, but of course, it must be little Ciara who has found it the hardest. Life has been harder for Ciara and Liam too, as they both have been battling bad colds too.. :(

The next step is to give her something to ease the pain and hopefully, as she grows older the reflux will lessen and hopefully go away!
